Slay with an NCEA: Why a Nationally Certified Esthetician is your skin’s BFF

Inclusive Aesthetics holds the highest accreditation by aligning itself with the esteemed National Coalition of Esthetics Association. What does this mean for YOU?

  1. You Get An Esthetician with Expertise and Advanced Knowledge
Our nationally certified Esthetician and owner Shana Lohr has undergone rigorous training and passed national exams, obtaining advanced knowledge in skincare treatments, techniques, and safety protocols. She will evaluate your skin type, recommend suitable treatments, and address specific concerns such as acne, aging, or dryness with precision.
  2. You Get Personalized Treatments
With her vast knowledge and expertise, our certified Esthetician can tailor treatments to meet your unique skin needs. Whether it’s facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, hydro facials, or laser treatments, Shana can customize a plan based on your skin’s condition, sensitivities, and desired results.
  3. Access to Professional-Grade Products
Inclusive Aesthetics has access to higher-quality, professional-grade skincare products that are more effective than over-the-counter alternatives. These products are formulated for deeper skin penetration and long-lasting results, ensuring enhanced care and performance.
  4. Safe and Sanitary Environment
Inclusive Aesthetics adheres to strict hygiene and sanitation practices. This reduces the risk of skin irritation, infections, and allergic reactions. At Inclusive, patients can have peace of mind knowing they are in a safe and sanitary environment.
  5. Improved Skin Health and Appearance
NCEA Estheticians are trained to detect early signs of skin issues such as precancerous lesions, melasma, and rosacea, and recommend appropriate treatments that help improve your skin’s overall health. Regular visits to an NCEA-certified Esthetician can help with deep cleansing, exfoliation, and hydration, leading to a clearer, smoother, and more youthful complexion.
  6. Stress Relief and Relaxation
Spa visits not only enhance your skin but also promote relaxation and stress relief. An Esthetician can provide soothing treatments, such as facial massages, that help reduce tension, promote circulation, and enhance your overall well-being.
  7. Long-Term Skin Benefits
A nationally certified Esthetician can help you develop a comprehensive skincare routine, guiding you on the best practices to maintain your skin health between visits. They provide professional advice on daily care,  products that target your specific needs, and education on how to protect your skin from environmental damage, ensuring long-term benefits.
  8. Up-to-Date on Trends and Techniques
A national certification ensures that Estheticians are keeping up with the latest skincare trends, treatments, and technology through continued education. This ensures that you’re receiving the most effective and modern care available in the industry.

What’s Involved in Obtaining a National Certification?

Earning the National Esthetician Certification is the highest voluntary credential in the United States, elevating professional standards beyond entry-level licensure. The NCEA Certified credential signifies expertise and credibility, helping consumers identify well-trained estheticians. This is a legal certification, ensuring it meets the highest industry standards.

Some states only require about 300 hours of schooling to get a license. This includes Pennsylvania. The NCEA continues to educate state regulatory boards and legislators. They need to know that the NCEA Certified credential’s competency-based exam evaluates the Esthetician’s skills and knowledge at a 1200-hour level.  So how do the Estheticians benefit?

  • Provide educational activities to increase the skin care professional’s knowledge, skills, and competency.
  • Provide local, regional, national, and international accredited educational activities and learning opportunities.
  • Raise the standard of educational delivery methods and utilize faculty disclosure(s) to improve the quality of education.
  • To meet the state regulatory board’s continuing education requirements for re-licensure.
  • Provide state boards with a quality commission on accreditation for skin care professionals.

In summary, visiting a spa with a nationally certified Esthetician ensures the highest level of quality, care, expertise, and safety and provides access to personalized treatments and professional products that enhance your skin’s health and appearance.  Self-care isn’t selfish and at Inclusive Aesthetics we are proud to meet your needs with the highest standards possible!
